Samsung's VP of Mobile, Lee Young Hee has broken his silence on the latest developments inside the south Korean electronics giant Samsung. Samsung's engineers are developing a smart watch, or connected watch or 'Galaxy Altius' and according to Lee, they have been preparing for the watch product for so long. It looks like Samsung is also working on other wearable devices and now we have an official confirmation that a wristwatch is definitely one of them. Lee did not disclose any other...
Engineers at Volkswagen have set their eyes on building the world's most fuel efficient hybrid car and are aiming to achieve 261 miles per gallon (mpg) aka 110 kilometers per liter. The Volkswagen XL1 is likely to be the car that gets the crown. At present, the rival companies viz. Honda, Scion, Mitsubishi and Ford have mpg equivalents 50% of what Volkswagen is proposing for the XL1. Looks like the competition in the Hybrid car segment is getting fierce with the Germans declaring fuel...

When I say 'the best', you might expect an array of sophisticated editing tools. But that's not the case here. When you open up draft - all you get a blank screen with a eye-soothing background color. At first, it might look as if you're writing on note-pad but the experience that Draft offers is...
MIT's robotics lab is surely full of interesting robotics projects. The latest project, a 70 pound Cheetah robot developed at MIT is just as efficient as a real Cheetah in terms of running efficiency. The robot recently was put to treadmill test and it was found that it wastes very limited energy in an 90 minute run at about 5 miles per hour. The robotic cheetah is of the same size as its animal counterpart. The researchers employed very lightweight electric motors that produce high torque...
But on a more serious note, what do you think the future holds for us? And no, I'm not talking about RAM upgrades and phone screens going to 8"... Those are just upgrades :) Chuck
PS: Sorry for this comic being here on Sunday instead of the usual Wednesday. The new job (yes, advertising after Chemical engineering - let's not even get there!) is quite taxing! Speaking of taxing - anyone looking forward to the budget? How about an engineering twist to the budget? Hmm... I'm on it folks! Have a great last week of February \m/ Chuck
Any more laws you think should be added? Fire away and I'll feature them in Part Two!
It's strange, isn't it? All these modern tools of communication have actually made us more anti-social than ever!
Yes, it's finally happened. We've reached that stage where anyone with a black and white screen is cool. We've become indifferent to the number of cores on our phones, the internal RAM and all that. Secretly, all of us (especially the corporate types whose company has given them BBs so that they can be 'connected always') yearn for simpler days. And Snake 2.
