Join Indian Air Force - Eligibility Criteria
The minimum educational qualification required is a degree (with Physics and Maths at +2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.
If you have completed your B.Sc/BE/BTech with a minimum of 60% marks and have studied Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level, you can apply for Flying (Pilot) through Short Service Commission.
The age limit for the same is 19-23 years.
You may also apply in the technical department as an aeronautical engineer. provided you have studied a minimum of eight subject from the following list.
For aeronautical engineer(electronics)
(1) Physics / Engineering Physics.
(2) Mathematics / Engineering Mathematics.
(3) Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing.
(4) Electrical Engineering / Electrical Technology.
(5) Control Engineering.
(6) Microprocessors.
(7) Digital Electronics / Basic Electronics.
(8) Computer Networks.
(9) Information Technology.
(10) Network Theory Design.
(11) Telecommunication Systems.
(12) Electronic Circuit Design.
(13) Radar Theory.
(14) Switching Theory.
(15) Instrumentation.
(16) Microwave Engineering.
(17) Antenna and Wave Propagation.
(18) Electronic Devices
For Aeronautical engineer(Mechanical)
(1) Physics / Engineering Physics.
