Talking about MTV Slash, Aditya Swamy, EVP & Business Head, MTV India, says, "Super performance at a super price - that's what young people want and that is exactly what the MTV Slash fablet is. After a very successful start to our partnership with Swipe Telecom, we have now moved to a brand + content leverage." "Slash now comes fully loaded with the MTV experience and is embedded across the MTV eco system," he added. Though the technical specifications of the MTV Slash tablet are nothing of a turn-on, it's the MTV quotient that the Swipe founders think should get the tablet going in the over-crowded Indian tablet-phablet market.
Popular MTV VJs Nikhil Chinapa said, "I am a gadget freak and I am constantly looking out for new phones and other gadgets. While there are many existing brands in the country, what will set MTV Slash apart from the competitors are the MTV applications. We want the youth, the MTV generation to get hooked on to this fablet." Like we said earlier, though the phone is right now available to be bought at Swipe e-store and other leading online portals like Flipkart, Snapdeal, Infibeam and eBay, it is going to be shorty launched across 10,000 retail points.
