REAL TIME BUS INFORMATION MONITORING SYSTEM

Project Abstract / Summary : Real-time Bus information monitoring system is about gathering the basic information of the Bus that includes Bus arrival time, Bus departure, Bus number and number of students travelled by the bus on every particular day without involvement of Human.At present in many of the Indian schools and colleges we are using bus Co-ordinators, Incharges to collect the information manually. This process takes more time and man power.To overcome all these drawbacks we are introducing this project. The main theme of the project is to save time , man power, complexity of the work, avoid overload and avoid unauthorized people to board. Whenever bus enters into the college, information regarding timings, number of students in the bus is sent to the college server.Depending upon the distance range we can use various wireless networks for updating the information to the college server.In this we use MSP430 Microcontroller which is interfaced with ZIGBEE, RFID Unique Identification Reader ,RFID Card and IR Sensor. This project is also helpful to secure the students.The information that was collected by the college server is directed to the Branch Co-ordinators based on their RFID Card codes which are separate for each branch and unique for a student which is related to their Roll number.These Co-ordinators compare the students first hour attendance with the students RFID code and the message is sent to the parents if there is any absence of student to class even he boarded the bus.

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : Because,ours main intention to save the manpower and work should done in a digitalised way of communcation.At present in many of the Indian schools and colleges we are using bus Co-ordinators, Incharges to collect the information manually.
