NVIDIA CUDA Compiler Source Code Available For Download

NVIDIA, the leading graphics card manufacturer is opening up the CUDA platform for software developers and researchers by releasing the NVIDIA® CUDA®LLVM-based compiler source code. The company wants to enable programmers to add GPU support for more programming languages and support CUDA based applications on other processor architectures. The LLVM based CUDA compiler supports NVIDIA’s parallel GPUs and already included in CUDA 4.1 toolkit; available for download from the official website. [IMG]
Professor Sudhakar Yalamanchili who leads the Ocelot project from Georgia Institute Of Technology calls this as a significant step as the future of computing is heterogenous. Professor Yalamanchili thinks that CUDA programming model offers a powerful way to optimize and maximise performance on different processor architectures including Intel x86 CPUs & AMD GPUs. Those interested in downloading the source code may quickly register on the following link and get your files right away:- <span style="color: #008000;">CUDA Developer Zone</span>.
