Christmas is fast approaching and Ford is all out for delivering high efficiency products for the New Year. The Global auto company is getting ready for starting the production of the Focus electric's 2012 model. The model is touted to be the first five passenger electric vehicle delivering more than 100mpg. If delivering 100mpg is not enough, the ford engineers have also devised methods to achieve full battery charging in half time than that of Nissan Leaf. The automobile giant is up for giving service to customers with any requirement. May it be Hybrids, Plug-in Hybrids or Electric Vehicles; Ford has a complete family of each vehicle suiting the needs of customers.

The company is committed on making vehicles with highest fuel efficiency. These efforts can be seen in the upgraded version of the company's C-Max hybrid and C-Max Energi. Both the vehicles surpass the Toyota Prius V on more than one count. However there are many positive points of Toyota's Prius, the C-MAX family shows high performance on the mileage parameter. The higher mileage is possible because of the nearly ideal pairing of the battery system and the Gasoline engine working on an efficient Atkinson cycle.

The striking feature of C-MAX is the Lithium battery which is used in the Hybrid. The smaller battery when charged and coupled with the engine can give you driving range of 500 miles. Ford is soon going to launch the C-Max Hybrid and C-Max Energi. When both the launches are done with, the automotive giant will be largest hybrid transmission producer in North America.

The technology which Ford has started giving out is not only limited to the changes in engine or the powering and propelling devices. The automobile engineers from Ford have tried to fine tune even minor aspects like cooling of heated components with best effective methods. All this has culminated in development of Green and efficient vehicles.

The minimizing of charging time has always been an aspect in automobile industry- the idea being providing customers with fastest charging in between stops. Technology to reduce charging time to as low as 15 minutes have been developed however it is not in commercial use until now. May be it will be possible sometime in future. Ford's technology which beats Nissan with half time can be charged with 240V outlets and 100% charging do not require more than three hours.

Company understands that for busy life and deteriorating global climatic conditions, Electric vehicles are among the best choices. It is hence a technological attempt of the car maker to modify the automobile industry towards a greener and faster charging path.
