Intel's New Android Smartphones In India At Rs. 7000 By Mid-2013

You would say that Intel sure knows what the 'Young India' needs. During an event called the INFOCOM 2012, Debjani Ghosh, Intel's South Asia Managing Director for Sales and Marketing shared the company's plans to bring Android Smartphones in India with prices as low as Rs 7,000 and onwards by the middle of 2013. Not so much an entry-level smartphone, but India already has 'Lava Xolo X900', the phone featuring Intel's Medfield chip, launched earlier this year. We can't help but take a moment to remark about the Intel’s new dual core Atom chip that is powering so many of those Windows 8 tablets. Intel is sure going somewhere good with the mobile sector. They do have an advantage of performance over ARM based chips. We will keep an eye for some good news from Intel on this one. Android Smartphones in India are already topping the favorite charts.
