Google seems to have a new development and marketing strategy for its Android Jelly Bean release scheduled later this year. The tech giant now plans to grant early access of the mobile operating system to around 5 established mobile manufacturers and control the initial sale of these devices by itself, cutting out the retailers and carriers.

In the past, Google used to release their latest Andorid OS on one flagship device, and only then grant access to other makers. But now, the tech giant is open to develop and sell as many as 5 âNexusâ lead devices (including smartphones and tablets) for their next release. Googleâs recent stale encounters with few carriers regarding Android ICSâ update may have forced to them adopt this new strategy to exercise better control over the updates and sales of Android devices.
The company plans to release these Android Jelly Bean based mobiles around Thanksgiving, in November to cash in on the holiday sales season.
