Galaxy S3 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Update Available In India

It seems that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is rolling out for the Galaxy S3 phones in India. The firmware is being made available through Kies software and also over the air. If you're an S3 owner, it won't harm to hit your mobile settings -> Software Update option and see if the firmware is available.

The upgrade would be about 291 MB in size and may take a while to download, if you're on a slower connection. Of course, you shouldn't use your data plan (unless it's unlimited one) and I'd recommend sticking to your local wireless connection for the upgrade.

The firmware promises to bring lot of interesting Jelly Bean upgrades. More on this later. If you're an S3 owner, check your software settings right away and tell us if you're getting the update.
