Explain All The Terms Used In DRIConf.

So, my GFX card is fried (Kids! too much OC'ing is baaad) & thus I am back to Intel inbuilt chipset (FML!)

As usual,I can't suppress the urge of gaming & Playing with intel in Linux system is somewhat tougher as Intel is using Opensource drivers & not proprietary.

I have installed latest x-org-edgers drivers & games are really working smoothly (I didnt expected though)

Somebody explain the following terms used in DRIconf :
  • Texture Tiling
  • Hierarchical Z on gen6
  • dual source blending
  • ARB_occlusion_query support
  • Buffer object reuse
My glxinfo | grep VGA gives output :
OpenGL vendor string: Intel Open Source Technology Center
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) G41 x86/MMX/SSE2
OpenGL version string: 2.1 Mesa 9.0.2
OpenGL shading language version string: 1.20
The main setting of DRI is given below:

Do I need to tweak up anyother setting for better performance ?
Please explain me the terms mentioned above.
