3D printers are capable of replicating any 3D object. Components of a mechanical device, bones, and other things have been replicated with 3D printers. The replication is done by using 3D scanners which scan all the dimensions and the scanned component is then printed or modeled. But how about something really big, maybe a building?[IMG]

Dutch architect Janjaap Ruijssenaars has been working and planning on to build the "Landscape House" and according to him, the idea is that this building can borrow from nature and also fit flawlessly into the real world.

The shape of the building would be a mobius band, where the floors transform into ceilings, inside into outside. The 3D printer, #-Link-Snipped-# invented by Enrico Dini, would be used for the production of the building. The D-Shape houses a stereolithography printing process, where sand and a binding agent are used to create the structure that are supposedly as strong as concrete.

According to the BBC, the "Landscape House" will be the worlds first 3D printed building and would have an estimated cost between $5 million and $6 million. Janjaap plans to finish off work sometime in 2014.
