Windows 8 Camp + Hackathon in Mumbai, India On 23rd, 24th May 2012

Windows 8 Camp and associated pre-camp activities will help you amass knowledge on Windows 8 and create compelling and immersive Metro Style Apps. Through the camp, Microsoft will take you through a series of activities and below journey of events:

  • Nomination & Selection: Scenario is the key here. They have 20 broad categories under which you can think about an app scenario.
  • Pre-Camp Online Webcast: They will brief you on the overall agenda and the execution mode.
  • Windows 8 Camp: You will hear from experts at Microsoft on the basic design tenets and technicalities in building a Metro Style App.
  • Application Excellence Labs: An exclusive time with an expert who will review your app and offer guidance to help you progress/complete the app.

    The details -

    1. This is a limited Capacity invite only event with no registration fee's.
    2. Exclusive Opportunity to hear Live Keynote Address by Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft Corporation.
    3. To qualify for the camp, you need to submit a description of a Metro Style App idea that you intend to develop around any of the 20 broad categories.
    4. Only those registrants whose App idea has been shortlisted will be sent an invite for the Windows 8 Camp.
    5. If your App is Store Ready, you have an opportunity to pass through AEL (Application Excellence Labs) to get a Token to enter the Windows 8 App Store.
