cos waves are the same as sine waves, because cos x is equal to sin 90-x;
So, cos x is nothing but a phase shifted version of sin x.
So, there is nothing called a 'cos wave', per se. Only phase shifted sine wave.
And, all phase variations of the normal sine wave are also called sine waves only.
