The most basic question that wasn't answered by any textbook - why is the gravitational force attractive in nature and not repulsive? Tried thinking about it for some time and then found an answer that says because "F=GMm/R^" will always be 'positive'. But that's not very convincing to me. Does anyone know what is the origin of the gravitational force?

Theory of relativity says it's not a force at all - just a curvature in space-time continuum due to mass.
Are you sure? This action cannot be undone.
