What is the largest number possible using 2, 2, 2 & 2?
CEans,
What is the largest number possible using four 2's. Can we come up with a formula with two variables [viz. the number (x) & repetitions (y)]?
What do you think?
Addendum: Factorial is not allowed ๐ !

Kaustubh KatdareI sometimes sit & wonder, if the questions we post here in CE's #LinkSnipped# section are way too tough for most of us?
Or shall we start posting simple, nobrainy puzzles? Not a single try for the current puzzle?
Raviteja.gI think the biggest no possible is
(((2^2)^2)^2)
shalini_goel14Hi,
I think the largest number possible using four 2's is
(2 ^(22 ^2)) = (approx.)4.9 *(10^145)
I guess the following formula should work for largest no possible using x(as no) and y(as no of repititions)
if (y>2)
x ^((y2)times x)^x)
else
y times x
Kaustubh KatdareNot really,
22[sup]2[/sup] < 2 [sup]22[/sup]
So we can still go further.
shalini_goel14Yes Big,
You are true, but what happens when we have too long value in exponential ,we get sometimes infinitely large values. So to avoid this thing,I have not taken 2 22 into account.
prakash.athaniIs there any number larger than 2^222 for four 2's?

Hi Prakash,
2^(22^2) > 2^222 (if we assume values to infinity are allowed)
shalini_goel14shalini_goel14Hi Prakash,
2^(22^2) > 2^222 (if we assume values to infinity are allowed)
Also
2^(2^22) > 2^(22^2) > 2^222 (if we assume values to infinity are allowed)
Kaustubh KatdareAre we at the biggest number yet?

Kaustubh KatdareGuys, the factorial operation is NOT allowed

Raviteja.ganyway what is the biggest number?

That is NOT defined, CB ๐crazyboy(2*2)/(22)... ha ha ha. Can someone find bigger then this...
But I didn't think about that ๐

may be 2^(2^22) is biggest...

I Do Think That There Is Not A Specific Number Made From 2,2,2,2 Cuz 2^2>22^2>2^22>2^222 And Goes On............

Only four twos. ๐hassaanhello

Kaustubh KatdareSo, what's the final answer we have?

shiwa43622^22 is the answer i think.

Please read the thread; many answers have been discussed.shiwa43622^22 is the answer i think.
savitha_chanduthe answer which is in my mind is (2^(2^22)) or even it might be 22^22
