Visual Tracking System With UAVs [Project Idea]

The popularity of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles or UAVs is unprecedented. The capabilities of UAVs are unexplored. And that makes me think that engineers can revolve their projects around them.
A visual tracking system capable of running on-board a small UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) could be one such project. There are limits to tracking objects on the ground. Send up one of these cheap UAVs to circle your house or to follow a car and it'll be hopelessly lost in seconds. This is because object recognition tends to be a computationally intensive task and there are obvious power and weight limits for small flyers.
We can obviously broadcast the images back to the ground so that they are reduced and sent back, but this won't work when communications systems are disrupted.

There is already a solution, read the details here - #-Link-Snipped-#

What do you guys think?
