This Solar Bike Doesn't Need Charging Point Or Swapping Of Batteries

An inventor from Copenhagen, Denmark has come up with a new Solar Bike that he claims to be an interesting new sustainable alternative to electric bikes that are becoming very popular these days. Powered by the abundantly available, renewable solar energy, here's a Solar Bike that doesn't need a charging point or swapping of batteries. While being equipped with on-wheel solar cells on both of its sides, the bike's battery gets charged when it is standing still and when riding, the solar cells and the battery provides energy for the motor. The designer has revealed on his official site that the Solar Bike's standard speed is 25 km/hour and has a maximum limit of 50 km/hour.

As you can see from the image above, the bike is designed to look like any normal bicycle and looks lightweight. On one complete charge, the on-board battery should last for at least 70 kms. The solar cells on each of its wheels are said to be shadow optimized and have integrated solar technology as well. Take a look at the video from the innovator himself riding the Solar bike -
