Synaptics is known for their touchscreen products used in popular phones like HTC ONE X and SONY Xperia P. The company has now entered the keyboards market and launched 'ThinTouch' keypad to be used in Ultrabooks. Expect the ultrabooks to use this keyboard to be even more thinner in near future. What sets ThinTouch apart from the competition? Well it's 50% thinner than its rivals.

Now, common sense will tell you that thinner keyboards mean some more room for the batteries - so that they last longer. The keyboard will offer backlights and the capacitive sensor beneath the keypad will automatically disable the touchpad when you are typing.
