Solve For X Is Google's Secret Lab Project Similar To TED

'Solve For X' project is a Google's X Lab's new facility that was kept under the veil till now. We all know that Google is working on #-Link-Snipped-# and Apple's Siri #-Link-Snipped-#.  This 'Solve For X' project is similar to TED-like conference where world's leading thinkers and doers gather and share their solutions with an audience through speeches with presentations. The site is still not open to the public. You can submit your email address and get notified about its launch.

So what exactly is this 'Solve for X'? Google describes it as a place where the curious can go to hear and discuss radical technology ideas for solving global problems. As Google puts the definition of Radical: "Radical in the sense that the solutions could help billions of people. Radical in the sense that the audaciousness of the proposals makes them sound like science fiction. And radical in the sense that there is some real technology breakthrough on the horizon to give us all hope that these ideas could really be brought to life." Solve for X is intended to be a forum to encourage and amplify technology-based moonshot thinking and teamwork.

A Google Secret Lab researcher, Mr. Richard W. DeVaul mentioned on his Google+ page that the Solve for X conference had talks on a variety of topics like transforming education, improvements in agriculture, synthetic biology, and carbon-negative biofuels. He also said that this project's YouTube page will post all new presentations by Monday. So we will soon find out. For now, check out the video from it's official website -

Update: An image of the Solve for X site's CSS was leaked. It shows 10 steps on how to prepare for a Solve for X talk. Take a look #-Link-Snipped-#
