The most awaited operating system, Windows 8 will feature highly advanced features but without the iconic start button. Microsoft has decided that build 8220 will be the final version of the Windows 8 operating system before the beta releases. Until this announcement, the start button featured in the Windows 8 Metro UI offered access to search, share and control various devices.

Microsoft has wisely used the start button space into a hot corner which is specifically a new focus for the audience. The hot corner helps to toggle between Metro UI and the desktop environments when mouse hovered or touched. The company is trying very hard to facilitate a smooth experience with windows without leaving any stones unaltered.
On the other hand, the start button fans may feel illogical as they are used to it. The Verge believes that the task bar of Windows 8 would perform all tasks as that of Windows 7 like pinning shortcuts and also feature an additional sporty, enhanced charms bar with a set of transparent icons. These icons will provide access to all key features.
However certain negative aspects have also been pointed out by a number of Windows users. They say: as per the developer preview, it would be very difficult for most of the users to control Windows functions using a conventional mouse and a keyboard. Nevertheless, Microsoft has acknowledged its users to tweak some of the functions to make user experience very effective. In addition, the company said that the new consumer preview will be very effectual for the traditional desktop users.
