smartcard using multilink

Project Abstract / Summary : Now a day all the actions are mostly held in an automated mode. Even though some other actions are carried out in manual way like Ration card, Health care, Railway tickets, Passport, etc.,. Those manual actions are overcome by using digitized new innovation called “SMART CARD”.

Smart card has two sides, one is front and another is rear. Front side consists of holder’s name and serial number. At the bottom right corner of smart card has QR code. Normally Qr code is a trade mark for a type of bar code which is used for automotive industry. This QR code has the information about the product. However now we are going to processes this Qr code in a different way like holding more information about the smart card user details via database link which has been already provided. QR codes are easily access by a QR code scanner by our own mobile app which is portable.

Reed Solomon code is a type of mathematical error correction code that is commonly used. On many QR generating sites there are four levels of error correction available to someone creating a QR code? The lowest level of correction offers 7% correction and the highest offers 30%. The most commonly used level of correction is 15%.

Then similarly at the back side it has a magnetic stripe, hence the users can access their accounts through this strip. The magnetic stripe is made up of tiny iron-based magnetic particles in a plastic-like film. Each particle is really a tiny bar magnet about 20-millionths of an inch long. The magnetic stripe records the following information: Merchant ID, Valid card number, Expiration date, Credit-card limit, Card usage. Single dial-up transactions are processed at 1,200 to 2,400 bits per second (bps), while direct Internet attachment uses much higher speeds via this protocol.

In this system, the cardholder enters a personal identification number (PIN) using a keypad. Here we are using 7811-6 Magnetic Stripe with higher corrective. Finally from this project, we can quickly access the required information about the particular person at any time.

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : now a days all the application are working in digitized though some other are in manual like Indian ration card,voter id,all type of ticket,etc,. hence to overcome this manual process to digitize we introduce a smart card method which bring those all the manual into a digitize manner.
