  • Skoda's just not about cars. The company surely knows what men want and has unveiled a new cool toy for the coolest dads in the world: the Mega Man-Pram! The pram's got 20" alloy wheels and calls it a 'high performance vehicle'. The tyres are 'all terrain' type and there's a sports seat for your junior. Did we mention that the hydraulic suspensions are included as well? The engineers at Skoda definitely understand that the love for four wheelers starts at very early age.

This high performance pram has been described as the 'ultimate baby carrier'. But the big size does come with its own disadvantages. You can't just fold and slide the pram under your bed. The size of this pram is so big that it'll need its own garage. According to a survey conducted by the company 2/3rd of the 1000 father surveyed said that they'd spend more time behind the wheels of a buggy if they were given a more stylish model. We bet the prams won't get more stylish than this.

We'd like to know how many of you wished your father had one of these for you?

from engineering point of view, this concept seems to be very impractical.

    just consider the following points:

    1) the end user of a pram is a baby, and not its parent.

    2) what is the use if a pram cannot be folded, and stored under your bed, but requires its own garage. kind of waste-full, isn't it ?

    3) what would anybody do with a big pram, with alloy wheels and hydraulic suspensions, once the baby has grown up ?

this innovation would have been worth buying, if it had a motor, and had a platform for the parent to stand on and gently drive the pram, at a very low speed, say @ 3 kmph

#-Link-Snipped-# is right! It doesn't make sense at all!

However, if you have a baby who likes to journey like that in the movie "Baby's Day Out", very well we can give that baby this present!😛

#-Link-Snipped-# those questions are like asking "why would anyone buy a luxurious car when a compact one will be enough to do the purpose with may be an even better fuel efficiency?" People buy it because they are rich or may be because they like it. Not necessarily for a need.

I can even ask this - why don't people use public transport? It is definitely much better for the environment and helps make the roads much easier to drive. Answer would be, because people don't feel like. They want their own means of transport 😁

Many things in the world are unwanted. People still buy it and use it regardless of how practical or how much useful those are. Including me and you 😁

#-Link-Snipped-#: you are right in your own way.

but things are slightly different here.

the main question is what are you going to do with this luxurious pram, once your kid has grown up ?

the case of buying a luxurious german car over a compact one, is quite different, because you will use the car forever, or as long as its service life lasts. but in the case of this pram ?

secondly , is this pram worth buying, if its cost was nearly half that of a skoda fabia ?

Everyone have dresses, foot wears or whatever stuff when they were kids. Those things become unusable after some years. May be not as costly as this one. But certainly some toys are quite costly.

I'm not talking in favour of this machine. But no matter what, people will buy it.
