Ash and I had the following conversation at the CE-Conference. The story is incomplete but has a great potential. So my fellow CEans treat this as a challenge and complete the story. It may be funny, gore, action packed anything. I know this is quite different but I assure you, this will be fun if you give it a try.

On an anonymous Planet, lightyears away..

Wakes up from stasis. Checks condition of ship controls and equipment. Finds out there has been some serious damage to the hyperdrive from the nuclear blasts.

Fears that he is stuck on this planet forever.

in the meantime raj in his quest went to an unknown planet were he is promised to get a vital information about ash,but before that he has to destroy the assasins who are after the informer,but the assasins are the most powerfull in this universe for that he needs help............rest later!!

Poor ash, being pursued by 2 warriors. 1 dead and the other a female. Oh, who sent the assassins? The story gets deep now 😛

well the assasins are after the informer who will gives ash's details,but raj have to finish them,they had struck a deal.well the informer is also related to ash,the warrior who will help raj is after a supreme device,even the magicina is aftre that,the key with ash but he is unaware of it!!!!

The unknown beneficiary was Kidakaka. He had resurrected Patty to destroy Ash. Patty knows many martial arts and is a formidable warrior, moreover Ash and Patty are sworn enemies. They were friends once but why did they become enemies? Why does Kida want the key? What is this key? And who is the warrior who has joined Patty in his quest?

Ash is a technical genius and has invented many weapons. Meanwhile he is trying to fix his spaceship. His crew consists of Maro, Gohm, Durga, Aasima and Docel. But he has some serious doubts in his mind. The ship could not have sustained such a damage unless and until someone tampered with the shield and only he and his crew know the password for the control room.

well the why kida wants the key and wats the key it will be unleashed as we go forward as for the warrior well she is a princess of a lost planet , kida had spelled a doom in her planet and had make it dissapear she is after kida and to destroy him and regain her planet she needs the supreme power.....whos key is with ash!!!
well next post will be how raj bumped this warrior princess,can anyone suggest her introduction...

Ash holds a component from the "Infinity Model 201" hyperdrive device for inspection, is surprised on how something this deep into the hyperdrive can be damaged, despite protection from the Fusion shields. He shows it to his A.I. systems expert MaRo, who was checking ship logs.

"MaRo, check the timestamp the first nuclear detonation and compare it to the control room access logs. Something fishy is definitely going on here..."

At that moment, chief engineer Gohm storms in the room

"YOU BASTA.. er.. Captain! How did my hyperdrive get damaged?? Your so called "invunerable" Fusion shields were supposed to protect them! I've spent 1000 man hours to upgrade it from the 101 model! And what are you doing with that component in your hand!? You're not supposed to touch the damn hyperdrive without my permission!!"

Ash puts his hands up in resignation

"I'm really sorry chief! We are trying to find out what happened. It could be the shields were somehow momentarily shut off just before we got into hyperspace. MaRo is checking through the control logs now. So in the meantime, keep this to yourself okay?"

Here,Raj is busy preparing for the task he is checking out his weapons,his gamma-ray gun is not working,his laser sword has got discharge batteries and he is not able to figure out his fault finder then suddenly he experiences.....

I'll try Patty's story

... suddenly he experiences a strange but alluring sensation, which was a pleasant feeling, for he had lost most of his senses after his resurrection by the black magician. As soon as it came, the sensation faded away.

The black magician. Raj sheathed his weapons and walked to the window of the rented motel room and mumbled out his thoughts.

"I never did to stop and ask him his purpose. But should I question? I was given a second chance to destroy Ash..."

Raj suddenly gasped. The sensation was back again, this time even stronger. He was now aware of a presence in the room behind him, and began tensing his muscles to combat this unknown stranger.

Then a gentle voice sang.

"Be at peace, brave warrior. I mean no harm."

Raj relaxed himself, but was immediately suspicious. It was a lady, in light armour. But it was no ordinary armour. The lady had tried her best to disguise it, but it cannot fool Raj's sharp eye. He has seen those ones at a palace, in a far distant memory. She might be either some sort of royal page, or just a thief. But, neither explains this strange aura she is propogating.

"Who are you?"

Meanwhile, Ash has managed to solve the problem in his ship and is ready to take off again. His next stop is going to be at planet Meso in the Clovian Galaxy.
He needs Dark Matter and the planet is the nearest source. The journey is dangerous but Ash will have to make it. He charts out the safest route and gives it to his pilot Durga.

* durga estimates the distance* though the nearest planet is it approximately a light year away.
She grins .. she knows what to do. raise the power of her engine with the help of super sonic boosters.

Keep the ideas flowing. After we reach the 4th page I will start editing it and make chapters. And together we will add more dialogs wherever they are missing to make the story livelier.
We can also change the resurrection bit. The way the story is developing, with the female warrior and all, it won't look good. We can say that Patty had become unconscious, but moments before the explosion occurred he was rescued and taken to an underground bunker. Patty remains unconscious for more than a month and when he wakes up he finds out about his unknown beneficiary that is Kidakaka. Due to the injuries caused by the radiations most of Patty's senses have gone but Kida and his researchers are helping him regain them. He get those eary feelings from time to time about danger present and therefore has gained this ability to fight in complete darkness, only depending on his 6th sense.
The rest of the story can remain as it is.

ok patty,no spice in the story as you mentioned,well after durga increses the speed of engine she suddenly felts something is pulling the ship ,ash mentioned they are heading for a black-hole,all became tensed and increses the power to the fullest,and the ship come in breaking point,but then suddenly an asteriod hits the ship and deflect it form the zone,but the problem aint stop here the rudder is damaged and the asteriod is coming towards the ship.....

Anyway, Ash is on his way to the nearest planet. Suddenly his engines starts losing its power. The gauge shows the ship is full with nuclear fuel. But the valves have stopped the flow. What? Why? How?

Ash has to act quick. He tries to access fuel pumps. It says Error 41. Shucks! Some one put a deadly virus in the hardware. 😲 Now what? He has an escape route. But If the ship is destroyed Gohm will kill Ash.

We decided to develop it further and make a science-fiction story, full of action,adventure...etc. Everyone and anyone can help us complete the story. In a few days I will be asking our editor's help to edit and compile the story in a proper way and add some dialogs to spice it up a but. Join us

Okay, there seem to be a gap in between Saurav's and Mayur's action bits 😛

Here goes:

"Status!" demanded Ash, as he viewed the menacing Asteroid on screen. Durga struggled to maintain distance from the asteroid without falling past the black hole's event horizon.

"The primary rudder thruster is critically damaged, and Fusion shields are down to 65%. Not bad for a direct hit from that thing. Could have been worse" reported Docel.

Gohm cringed at the mention of additional damage to propulsion systems. He glanced sideways to Ash,
"Engine problems at a time like this, between a black hole and an asteroid. Ya know, I should have known better than to be roped into these space adventures of yours..."

Ash glanced back,
"ah but chief, the adventure isn't over yet! Docel, reroute the starboard shield power into the remaining rudder thruster... Ok, that should be enough. Durga, aim for the underside of the asteroid, roll sharply to the left then yaw about..."

"... -20 degrees, skim the gravitational well and full thrust the hell out. Emergency Manoeuvre 11, right? Easy stuff." Durga checked the gyro readings and began repositioning the ship.

"Yeah, easy because you are the best pilot out of the Astro Naval academy! I'm sure sure even the maverick ship escort pilots would wet their pants in this situation. I hope you know what you're doing!" exclaimed Aasima, the ship's navigator.

"Chill, sis. I got this! You guys better hold onto something.." and with a sharp turn of the control stick, the starship jerked into a roll. MaRo, who just entered the bridge, was flung across, crashing onto the communications panels.

"WHAT THE!?!"

"Hold on to something, MaRo. This is going to be rough!"

The ship barely missed the asteroid, and then violently shook from differential gravities between the asteroid and the black hole. Unperturbed, Durga yawed the ship with robotic precision. She checked the gyro readings again, and prompted maxed the thrusters.

It was after a few minutes before everyone else came back from their senses. They all looked at Durga with renewed admiration.

"Nice flying, Durga. Looks like we are finally clear of both those dangers" Ash commented.

Durga smiled and nodded her thanks. Aasima then began re callibrating the navigation module. MaRo walked up to her.

"Your theory was right, Aasima. The navigation system had been tampered with. Good thing the ship path vector was not right into the heart of the black hole. Captain, I think we have a serious computer system breach. This might be related to the Fusion shield tampering incident too. I have created a temporary firewall to safeguard most of the vital systems, but I must narrow down the breach as soon as possible."

Ash shook his head in disbelief. "Its too risky to remain using this ship. We'll need to land at the nearest spaceport as soon as possible. Aasima, is there a way to manually navigate there?"

"I can bring up the old star charts, though I'll need Durga's help in intepreting them. Planet Aeori is now only 14 AU's away."

Gohm chimed in. "I'll work with Docel to optimize the power thrust of the sonic boosters. That should allow enough fuel for us. I just hope no more unexpected things would pop up"

Ash surveyed the deck, and contemplated on Gohm's last statement.

I don't know how you write these dialogs Ash but they are simply awesome. Our little project is coming out good. I had thought we will make a story but it looks like we are going to make a novel. Will try to write some dialogs myself.

I am capable of writing the plot but the dialogs? I am not sure whether I will be able to do justice or not. I changed my resurrection bit a little if you had not noticed. The new story says that I was not killed but became unconscious and was saved by Kida.
The beginning of the story is a bit torn. The rest of the writers can continue with the story while I straighten the first chapter.

Yep, please work on the first part. Though, it will be a bit more funny if you were resurrected from the dead. More interesting dialogs might be derived from that 😛 Btw, I think it would help other ceans if we update the plot on the first page. Probably a summary in point form.. at least it would be easier to follow!

Ok, continuing from Mayur's scene..

Before Ash could even hit the bunk, the ship started to quickly deccelerate. He sprinted to the bridge, and noticed Docel slamming the console which seems to perpetually blink warning lights. Docel looked up. "This is frustrating, Cap. I can't seem to pinpoint why the engine is losing power in all this mess. The fuel levels are are nominal. The system is acting up again! Keeps on giving Error 41 if run deep scan diagnosis."

"I hate to say this, but put us on "manual" mode. That would make us more vunerable, but its faster to isolate whatever the heck is causing this." Ash mused. He looked around and wondered if someone is missing here.

MaRo agreed, "I'll run the compartmentalized interconnects and activate the intercoms. We'll need to go analog this time. Old school, I guess. And before you ask, the chief is at the engine room. He suspects the fuel lines got jammed."

"Right, I'll go down and help out. Durga, keep a look out for stray objects floating around. If you spot any pirates, do not engage unless fired upon first. Rely on the forward blasters before using the Falcon missles. Aasima and Docel, help MaRo run the interconnects. Make sure you guys prioritize life support systems first!" Ash ordered. The main lighting suddenly shut off and amber backup beacons flashed around as the ship entered "manual" mode. He sprinted down to the engine room, grabbing a flashlight along the way. As Ash stumbled in the engine room, Chief engineer Gohm looked up and placed a spanner down.

"Cap, its as I feared. The segments of the fuel and coolant lines that are directly coupled to the computer systems have failed. I don't notice any damage to the engine itself, but we are facing two dangerous senarios. One, we need to completely shut the engines off. That would limit our maneuvers severely in an event of an attack. Secondly, there will be a danger that the MOX nuclear reactor would overheat if we don't reroute the coolant pipes soon." Gohm sighed. So much problems equals to headaches. He slumped down on the chair and continued,

"Unfortunately, we can't shut the reactor off yet, since back up generators are still recharging from the black hole incident and do not have enough juice to power life support and HVACs independently for long periods. We need another power generator."

Ash thought deeply. The penta junction GaAs solar cells are quite underpowered. But... "Lets try rerouting the coolant pipes, then. We'll use the solar panels to just power manual coolant cycles. That should be enough."

"Are you sure, Captain? Deploying the panels would require shutting off a portion of the Fusion shields. Not a good idea, especially in this territory in space."

"We'll chance it, chief. We need at least one more hour before the backup generators can fully recharge." Ash asserted.

15 minutes later, the intercom ran.

"Cap, this is MaRo. It seems there is a metamorphic virus residing at the control systems. Unfortunately, we can't isolate it off in "autonomous" mode since it is the heart of the whole ship system. We'll need to be remained in manual until we get rid of it. I'll try creating metamorphic engine crippler algorithm immediately".

"Good work, MaRo. Keep me updated."

Ash and Gohm finished off the coolant rerouting, and the MOX temperatures have started to stabilize again.

"Awesome! Give me high five chief!"

Before Ash could even raise his hand, the ship shook. Blaster return shots were heard. Durga's frantic words ran through the Intercom

"Captain! They just decloaked out of nowhere! There are too many of them!"

Docel joined in,
"They are attacking the Solar panels! Their shots will directly hit the hull with no shielding!"

Gohm glared at Ash. "Pirates. Great! If we are not dead yet from this, I will kill you!"

Ash murmured. "Looks like we'll be joining you after all, Raj."

So does any of you have a clue tht who is sabotaging the cruiser ( star ship, star cruiser, falcon or sumthin...guys give the ship a name.) A pirate may be or me.

Well, I suppose Rifaa can be an addition to the crew. They are a rag tag group anyway, a team which Captain Ash only formed recently.

Regarding the ship, its definitely a small one. A cross between the Millennium Falcon and Serenity.

If we are doing a Sci-Fi novel, we'll need to create a background of the universe. Who are the creatures that exists? Is it only humans? Who are the protagonist or antagonist organizations, federations or empires? What are the technologies that exist?

Doing the Star Wars route is a bit cliche. If any of you played the Freelancer, X2 or EVE online games, we could try having large corporations owning sectors of space (under a capitalist federation alliance), along with an imperialist/royal like empire.

Im thinking this project is getting bigger 😛

Not bad Idea, Creatures should be there definitely, Since this outer space, way beyond our current boundary and limitations anything whacky goes.
About the back ground how about the Andromeda galaxy. It is right next door u know.
Organizations should be there since law and order is kept every where, I think. Evil and good and all tht.
Technologies is very advanced since protection shields and every sort of lazer blasters and all sort of missiles tht are found in star trek is there. no !!!
What ever things we come up with, like weapons and stuff is all common, but the story line should be different, know what I mean.

It was after a few minutes before everyone else came back from their senses. They all looked at Durga with renewed admiration.

"Nice flying, Durga. Looks like we are finally clear of both those dangers" Ash commented.

Durga smiled and nodded her thanks. Aasima then began re callibrating the navigation module. MaRo walked up to her.

"Your theory was right, Aasima. The navigation system had been tampered with. Good thing the ship path vector was not right into the heart of the black hole. Captain, I think we have a serious computer system breach. This might be related to the Fusion shield tampering incident too. I have created a temporary firewall to safeguard most of the vital systems, but I must narrow down the breach as soon as possible."

Ash shook his head in disbelief. "Its too risky to remain using this ship. We'll need to land at the nearest spaceport as soon as possible. Aasima, is there a way to manually navigate there?"

"I can bring up the old star charts, though I'll need Durga's help in intepreting them. Planet Aeori is now only 14 AU's away."

Gohm chimed in. "I'll work with Docel to optimize the power thrust of the sonic boosters. That should allow enough fuel for us. I just hope no more unexpected things would pop up"

Ash surveyed the deck, and contemplated on Gohm's last statement.

let me add something here , suddenly after landing the ship is destroyed to some extent as the enemy Raj comes into picture and spoils all the communications your ship receives from Earth , you goes into no contact with earth and everyone beleives you all people lost in the space.

consider this if you guys like :

Suddenly the ship is spoiled to most of the extent and people are lacking oxyzen also , and as the communication is lost they can contact none on the earth .
Then a chemical Engineer in the crew ( name someone) make some chemical reactions to make oxyzen and he does .
The communication Engineer work on the making of communications proper , after some struggle they make it but Raj assumes that his enemy is gone and does things what does the blackmagic women says.

I like the oxygen and communications scenario, I could add some humorous elements in it 😛 But we'll put that situation further down the plot.. too much has happened to the crew already 😛

We want to pause the story at this point, and focus on the beginnings. Here are some points to consider:
- The past of Ash and Raj. They were friends (or acquaintances) before they were bitter enemies.
- An evil conspiracy involving a scientist who wants universal domination or destruction.

This is on top of the background of the universe in general. We can add both Milky Way & Andromeda together, with different species (an all human space story is a little too boring 😉 ). We can have a peaceful race, an aggressive/waring race, a high tech race, etc. Humans themselves can be divided into different factions.

Of course, we don't have to go too deep into it. We'll have to introduce the background in parallel with the plot.

One last thing. This is something we are all doing for fun, with the involvement of all CEans here (hence the characters being named after CEans). Please dont hesitate to share your ideas!

After about a month of inactivity on this thread, I will give it a boost.
We started the story with the fight between Ash and Patty, but didn't have any background of the characters. Ash, Mayur and me discussed the situation and this is how Mayur has summed up the story line (Some alteration could be done)

# Ash and Patty were a part of a super special and super secret training academy. They are both the best men the Captain Mayur could have. They learn every thing about the nuclear ski-fi warfare here, but cant get along with each other.
# To end the rivalry on a good note, Mayur decides to plot them for a high priority rescue and defense mission. They are sent to a small planet Wazoo, one of the best planet in the midland galaxy. It is ruled by the beautiful princess Kiera and is full of magicians playing dark tricks.
# Both guys are under cover and they have a mission, to protect the princess from strange and unknown dark forces. Here is where they meet Kida, the dark lord.
# <Develop their quest>
# During their expedition, Ash finds out that the dark lord Kida is actually a very deadly magician and is in search of the key that will make him the Lord of the entire midland galaxy. He is also a master of creating deadly weapons. However Kida is a trusted aide of Kiera.
# Sensing the danger, he tries to warn Kiera. But it becomes too late. Kida has already made his move, that of blowing off the Wazoo planet. He does exactly that, albeit without letting any one know he did it. Patty manages to save the princess Kiera and in the process falls in love with her. Ash manages to flee back to the academy with Mayur and also manages to get hold of the key. The planet is destroyed.
# Kida knows that Ash is a powerful man. If some one can defeat him, it is Patty. He manages to convince Patty that it was Ash who had dark intentions. He stole the key and now he wants to acquire the powers and take princess away from him. If they have to survive, he must get the key back.
# <All above is chapter II, the flash back>
# Now they confront. Ash thinks Patty has been spelled by Kida and they both have killed the princess. He retaliates in turn raging a deadly fight... and in a fierce battle, Patty dies... well almost.
# Kida resurrects Patty from the Ashes, Kiera nourishes him and there starts a love story 😀
# The tasks on hand- Patty has to kill ash and get back the key; Ash has to kill Kida, clear the air and save the princess (he doesn't know Patty is back); Kida has to kill all, get the key and rule the Midland Galaxy.
# <Ahead, you guys know what has happened and is happening.>

What if we release the Minbots traded on Omega-3? Pirates always use amber ion drives on thier vessels and Minbots attatch & collect from amber ion drive couplers!

Quick, load them into the escape pods, inform the pirates we surrender and are dispatching a party to their vessel to negotiate terms.

Ash, get that MOX system up to minimum power & stand ready for the captian's signal!

[ Kida and Patty will make a plan of killing ash as he is hindrance to both of them ]

Kida: Patty, See ash is your enemy right now. I can help you in removing him from your way if you want. We both can defeat him as two are always better than one.
Patty: But how we can do that?
Kida: [Tells him the Plan ] Secret. :sshhh:
Kida: [Thinks of master plan of killing Patty later and making him accused of ash's murder. ]
Patty: Done. :neutral: [ He is not much satisfied with he plan but unfortunately no other option he has to get the princess and key. ]

With the panels under attack and the ship loosing major portion of it's standby power Captain Ash thinks all is lost and he summons all his crew mates by the ultra emergency transponder

"Crew several years of chasing and being chased we lived to see another day. We were thought never to flee from death when it looms closer. But to embrace it with all our might.

This right now is our hour to outlast death Though it may seem real close we will never easily be subdued ever with out a fight"

"This is our turn to put all that our great teacher mayur taught us into action This may be our only choice give it your best"

"Durga blasters at full fury"
"Gohm How long can this alternate cooler maintain temperature"
"Maro report on Bug now"
"This is it guys our final stand"

Ash knows for sure that this is going to be his last battle and sighs "Only a miracle can save us now"

Sitting lonely Ash started thinking about the good old days when he was the best friend of Patty. Although patty was from a different stellar system, he was the chief commander of his planet and he met Ash when Ash went to the Universal Covenant with his father.

Ash's father was the king of WhiteRose planet and all the planet kings were summoned to this meeting to unite up against the common universal enemy who was the lord of all dark forces.

It was then both Ash and Patty met and became friends, but destiny had some other plan...
Suddenly Ash was interrupted by shouting voice of Gohm "Looks like we are going to survive captain, Durga has found a nearby planet with earth like atmosphere where we may take a short break to repair our systems".

"Good Job" exclaimed Ash, "Set the coordinates for that planet"....

"Wow a relief at last" says Ash. But still has a hostile fleet of space pirates Firing at the already fragile ship from North.

But the bad news strikes him as a hurdle the new planet also is about a quarter of a light year ahead. The Engines spitting out the max booster flame and with all the canons around randomly firing at the pirates to clear a path. It takes Durga a big deal to keep her head cool and continue a maneuver of great difficulty.

After a minute the added power to the main engine nearly drains the power reserve to zero but the goal is achieved by the bravery of his team. Captain ASH finally lands his feet on a strange planet where lots of strangers come to aid him.

With the ship nearly wiped out, the pirates evaded, There seems no more hurdle to the daring captain to salvage the ship.

But then...................
