Phishing Attacks Aimed To Steal Your User-Ids On a Rise. Beware!
Internet Security giant Quick Heal has#-Link-Snipped-# that lots of phishing scams directed at stealing your Google and Yahoo Ids and other log-in details are mounting up. As a victim of such phishing scams, who lost access to his Google and Facebook accounts, I truly trust their report where they say that these attacks are a part of some larger campaign who want to steal user data and compromise computer systems.

A thorough analysis by their team led to the discovery of a few links executing phishing attacks on Yahoo and Gmail. On investigating, they discovered a domain consciousliving.me that implemented phishing. This domain already has phishing links for Gmail, Yahoo and Facebook, and soon enough they'll be updating this domain for more such pages.
Also, Microsoft in its semi-annual #-Link-Snipped-# has stated that the largest number of malware attacks (44.8%) on Windows operating systems happened because of some action carried out by the operator. The attack could have resulted by clicking some link or downloading a malicious file. According to Microsoft, this can happen to anybody, and all the malwares entering your mechanisms are due to these phishing schemes.

When such malwares or malicious codes are installed as a consequence of a clicked-on link or downloaded file, it can end up providing hackers a number of capabilities, including complete control of an corrupt computer. If such a computer infected with malware is connected to a network, attackers can generally control other connected systems and servers as per their wants. So all you have to do now is avoid any spam links on your E-mail inbox, do not click on any link however tempting it may be, and report to the officials if you find anything fishy on your network. It will take time to control all this, but hopefully it would be done with.
