NuCaptcha: Video Captcha To Protect Websites From Spammers
NuCaptcha is a startup that's promising newer levels of protection to websites from spammers. Instead of showing static images with letters and numbers, #-Link-Snipped-#uses advanced video technology to generate dynamic captchas. In case you are not familiar with the captcha technology - let us give you a brief introduction. Captcha presents a combination of letters and numbers on backgrounds so that only humans can uniquely identify the text. However, the smarter algorithms developed by spammers enabled them to break the captcha and as a fix, a newer defensive mechanism, reCAPTCHA was introduced. NuCaptcha addresses this problem by offering a more user friendly alternative - video captcha. The startup has been working on making the technology so robust that it can present 3 un-distorted letters on video which can be easily read by humans but not by computer scripts. Most sites will do absolutely fine with 3 letters, but the technology has provision to include up to 8 characters making it next to impossible for the computers to decode it in real time. But that doesn't stop there - the NuCaptcha has Behavioral Analysis System detects unusual behavior dynamically and can increase the overall complexity of the captcha and slow down the video. This approach makes it difficult for human farms to mass decode the captcha.
NuCaptcha offers various templates so that website owners can match the look and feel of the captcha with their site. NuCaptcha is already serving millions of impressions across various websites and offers 'Free', 'Pro' & 'Enterprise' solutions depending upon website needs.
