Newtec Certifies First Authorised Repair Centre In Eastern Europe

NPO SvyazProekt (NPO SP) has signed a landmark deal with Newtec to become its first, third party, repair centre for Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries. The agreement will cover all warranty and post-warranty repairs of Newtec equipment sold in the region.

Nikolay Stolyarov, General Director of NPO SP, stated: “We think it is very important step for Newtec to settle its first regional repair centre. We realise the importance of aftersales support. Our in-depth knowledge of Newtec products and the Russian region and language will help us to provide the very best support to Newtec customers.”
The contract recognises NPO SP as an Authorized Repair Centre (ARC). The company will continue its role as a distributor of Newtec products, but will also handle all Newtec equipment in the region that requires attention.

“The agreement with NPO SP will help us to further increase the quality of customer care that Newtec can offer to its clients in the region” explained Serge Van Herck, CEO of Newtec. “With their high-level expertise and their local knowledge, we know that we can provide an impeccable service to customers in the Russian region whenever it is required.”

Up until this point, all Newtec equipment repairs were carried out at Newtec’s own production facility in Erpe-Mere, Belgium, or at regional repair services in Newtec Remote Support Centres (RSC). However, this presented a suboptimal solution for customers in different regions, where difficulties arose in logistics. Therefore, Newtec decided to seek partners to carry out ‘in-region’ repairs and participate in the incident handling process.

In order to meet these requirements, Newtec has introduced a certification process for partners to ensure the highest standard of workmanship and product knowledge. After a rigorous selection and training process, NPO SP proved its ability to meet the strict criteria laid down by Newtec.

The centre will guarantee reduced turnaround time for repairs and will optimize the entire logistic process, as all repairs will be carried out in the region where they are used. Newtec now plans to extend its regional repair centre initiative and is actively looking for partners in other regions to further extend a comprehensive, reliable support infrastructure for Newtec products worldwide, with a first focus on South America and MENA.

Sander Boom, Newtec’s VP Customer Services and Production, concluded: “The authorised repair centres present us with a great opportunity to gain access to new regions, to understand the culture and needs of the local area. This in turn enables us to serve our customers to the best of our ability.”
