Microsoft Windows Phone 8 Specs & Features At A Glance
Microsoft Windows Phone 8 has been unveiled today at the Windows Phone Developer Summit. This is a successor to the #-Link-Snipped-# that was launched in September last year. The OS behind this new smartphone is said to have a 'shared core' with Windows 8. It will run on dual-core CPUs and have three screen resolutions (maximum being 1280 x 768). IE 10 Browser & Nokia Maps will come built-in. Support for DirectX, SQLite and C/C++ libraries will let developers write cross-platform apps. A NFC-based mobile wallet feature has also been revealed; while the Wallet Hub is going to integrate third party apps.

Windows Phone 8 also has a new start screen that features every Windows-fans favorite tiles, which are now resizable - double-wide, regular, and small, toggle to whatever you like. Microsoft is also offering the developers an integrated purchasing tool to deliver additional content, upgrades and media.
