Microsoft Acquiring Yammer For A Billion Dollar

Microsoft is expected to be in the process of counting money to acquire 'Yammer'. The corporate social network, Yammer which makes it incredibly easy for teams to collaborate. The social network's UI is clearly inspired from Facebook and Microsoft knows the importance of owning the conversations. Once MS acquires Yammer, it will integrate it with the existing set of Office Tools, say MS Office, or Office 365, Outlook, Outlook Web Access and so on to offer a fully integrated suite to all the corporate users of Yammer service.

The deal is expected to be announced tomorrow. But it's interesting to see Microsoft shelling out $1 billion to acquire Yammer's enterprise social network. What do you think?
