Project Abstract / Summary : The“technology” uses “adobe” (damp dirt, clay and sand) packed earthbag house construction - installing barbwire in tubes of continuous polymer bag. We labeled it “Velcro-adobe”. We shape and cut tubes to any size and length the polymer material allows. We lay various arrangements of tubes flat and tamp with a 10-pound weight. This technology must be adopted in developing countries to provide home to citizens of their respective nation

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : In this modern era, Increase in cost of construction materials and natural disasters poses a major threat to humans .The amount of construction materials and increase of people without houses are said to be directly proportional in this modern world. Many homeless women are victims of domestic or sexual abuse. Homeless children have high rates of emotional and behavioural problems , often from having witnessed abuse. Not having a decent home adversely affects all areas of your life - from your health, to your achievement at school if you are a child, and your ability to get work if you are an adult. Conversely, if you are struggling with your health or your employment, this may in turn affect your housing needs and the security of your home.
