Kabel Deutschland Are World's Fastest With Broadband Download Speed of 4700Mbps
When in 2007, a 75-year old woman from Sweden got an earth-shattering speed of #-Link-Snipped-# the world was surprised. And now when most of us are still struggling with our slow internet connections and eyeing 4G with suspicion, Kabel Deutschland (KD), Germany has become the world's first operator to have achieved the broadband download speed of 4700Mbps. Without doing any civil engineering work, they achieved this feat during one of their real world field tests, conducted using the EuroDocsis 3.0 standard in a local school.

Though the exact details of how they achieved it are not yet out, the german operator has mentioned that they used channel bundling to achieve this speed. This is quite remarkable owing to the fact that they would need to leave some capacity spare for their other services. Though none of the general public knows some good applications of such magnanimous internet speeds, people want to see if the ISP shall actually deliver such speeds on a commercial scale. Since, the possibility has become a bit stronger, we would like to say, 'Welcome to the superfast internet!'.
