Jo-Mojo: An Armoured Electric Roadster From Dartz
Russian armoured vehicle manufacturer Dartz is giving quiet a bit of makeover to their previously launched Jo-Mojo. Now they are making it an electric roadster equipped with Russian monocoque armour system. For its design Dartz has teamed up with Gary Design Studio, where the makeover will be given the final shape.

The design concepts suggests the wheel of the car extending beyond the body and the windscreen is kept low which is quiet unusual for a car but does gives an eye catching look to the car. The roof cover of the car will also be featuring solar cells which are flexible photovoltaic cells, developed with the help of Soviet Space Program, for charging up the batteries as the car makes its way through the sunny streets of the country. There will also be option for adding extra batteries to meet the need for longer drive time.
The on-board battery packs will be powering up the 80 horse power electric engine which would be capable of generating 122Nm of torque. With that much power the car will be reaching 0-60 mph in just 9.5 seconds, with the top speed of up to 125 mph. The car will also feature colour changing seats and bullet proof wheels.
The company expects its production prototype to be available by the second quarter of 2012 with a price tag of over $40,000. It's now a question, how useful will be the open top bullet proof roadster? Here's a slideshow of the car by Gary Designs:
