IRISNotes 2 allows the user to convert handwritten notes into editable electronic text by using optical character recognition (OCR) technology. This electronic conversion of scanned images of handwritten, typewritten or printed text into machine-encoded text  requires an IRISNotes 2 which includes a battery-powered pen and a receiver. Simply place the receiver over a normal sheet of paper and start writing/drawing with the I.R.I.S pen. The hand movements are recorded and can be moved to the system via USB receiver. The data can then be digitized using I.R.I.S Optical Character Recognition application. The receiver stores upto 100 pages of text and saves you from copying data from sheets to system. Also, it makes things simple for people with not-so-good typing speed.
