IEEE 802.11™ Revision Makes LAN Faster & Reliable

The latest #-Link-Snipped-# 802.11-2012 revision has been IEEE 802.11™ Expanded to Support Faster, Higher-Quality, Simpler Wireless LAN Communications in More Environments | Business Wire and it focuses on making your local area networks (LAN) faster and more reliable. It now supports more devices and faster networks while making it more secure to use. The IEEE 802.11 revision has always had greater impacts on the developers and users of the Wi-Fi enabled devices & services. The latest revision is fourth one since the its initial publication in 1997, adding over 10 amendments to the base standard that was approved in 2007.

Bruce Kraemer, chair of the IEEE 802.11 working group says that every day over 2 million Wi-Fi enabled products are sold globally & continuous enhancement of the standard has helped in driving growth & innovation in the markets.
