Honor 6C launched with 3GB RAM, PDAF and AMOLED display
This week Huawei brought happiness on the faces of their European fans with the launch of 2 new devices- Honor 8 Pro and Honor 6C. While the first one stands nothing short of a flagship device, the later one brings premium features to the mid-range category. This new successor to Honor 5C will be available at a price of EUR 229 (around Rs. 15,900). The device will be available for shipping most probably by 20th April alongside Honor 8 Pro.
Being a budget oriented device, Honor 6C brings likewise specifications packed in a stunning metallic frame. But, a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) AMOLED display makes it stand out in the crowd. An AMOLED display is not that popular in this segment. The phoneâs processing is handled by a 1.4Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. Surely not the best SoC in the mid -range game. With a battery pack of 3020mAh, the device weighs just 138 grams.
Coming to the software front, Honor 6C runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow beneath a fully customized and stable EMUI 4.1. A hybrid sim slot is provided which means, either 2 sims or a sim and a sd-card. It offers an internal storage of 32GB which is expandable up to 128GB.
Camera has always been a USP for Honor devices and same goes for this device as well. 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 aperture, phase detection, and LED flash is what you get along with 5-megapixel front module. Coming to connectivity options you get Bluetooth, 4G LTE and Wi-Fi capabilities.
The device is going to be offered in Grey, Silver, and Gold color options. Overall, itâs a decently powerful device with an amazing power efficient display. Interestingly, Honor 6C does not have a physical home key or a Kirin chipset, differentiating it from breed of Honor devices.
