Has money caused more damage to human race than benefit / favor?
Money is the root of all evil, they say. Money has existed for decades and I'm wondering if it's caused more damage to the human race than various benefits / favours it's offered? On one hand, money has pushed the human race into an actual (rat) race for gathering as much money as we can throughout our life. On the other hand, money has been a motivator for several innovations, inventions and discoveries. Maybe it's the want of more profits that many companies have innovated - be it in road constructions or communications or bridge building or transport - something we can definitely count as 'advancement' for the human race.
A 30,000 ft view would give us a different picture altogether. There are several people who're still fighting for food and shelter because they don't have access to money. What's your opinion?
