Haptic Proximity Module (HPM) for the sight impaired

Though this may be considered a biomedical device the project is all electronics. May be useful as a major project or minor (I am out of sync with current syllabi) for EE students.
This is a D-I-Y project to make a vibratory alerter for proximity of objects.
