There are some E-books, that you should follow to get a complete Idea on this field.
I've some books, which I follow to grow my Interest and brush up my Skills
1. Game Programming : All in One - Johnathan S. Harbour
2. Advanced Game Programming : All in One - Kenneth C. Finney
3. Workflow of C++ Game Development - Andreas A. Jakl
4. Beginning C++ Though Game Programming - Michael Dawson
and many more.

You could download these E-book files from various Shareware Site.
You'll learn the theories of programming progessively.

Plus, Try to search for Internships or Training on this field as well.
Though Hardly to find, but not IMPOSSIBLE .. ALL THE BEST !! 😉
