Fastest Kid On The Block: Opera 10.6
I confess, I am a Firefox fanboy. I am extremely biased towards Firefox and have been steadfastly sticking to that browser since 2002. Despite all the commotion around Chrome and IE8 being much better than all its predecessors, Firefox it was. Nevertheless, this post is not on Firefox. I came across this viral video of Hitler finding about Opera 10.6. It was aimed at users of Chrome specifically, but it was well worth the watch â

Opera 10.60
So I went out and tried Opera 10.6, their stable release. Lo Behold!! Tabs on top! Fastest cold loading time I have seen!! It was beating the pants of Firefox 3.6 and Firefox 4 (currently in nightly builds nicknamed âMinefieldâ). To add insult to the injury, Minefield had the same interface that Opera 10.6 had. If the same features are available in a stable release (Opera) and a development release (Firefox), and the stable release is much faster than the development, then which one would you choose?
I chose Opera, well at least until Firefox 4 becomes stable.
