Well the best answer can come only from your manager. What if you take one exam and your manager expected some other? Also, I don't know of any such exams that will help you make the switch.

Talk to your manager what kind of tools, languages, software is being used by automation teams in your project and ask him/her what should you do to switch to automation. You certainly don't want a situation that you learn QTP and your project uses Selenium.

Do certification in Java..It used to be SCJP, I think now its changed. Selenium needs proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python or Ruby. Once you master Java, selenium is very easy.
