I believe we lack events in technical sections ... so I am stepping up for forum events. It goes as below :
- Every sunday the forum event will take place (00:00 to 23:59)
- We don't need chat option for this, it is somehow similar to debate but purely technical.
- We'll share the knowledge on whichever topic we select.

Eg: we'll poll on some 4-5 topics & the maximum vote will be our topic of discussion on sunday.
There will be poll between monday to wednesday .. on thursday 00:00 the topic will be selected .. so you'll get 3 days to gather knowledge on the finalised topic ... gather knowledge from wherever & however you want & share/discuss at sunday.. please no copy/pasting of contents.

I would like to tag some of our EC section marshalls &active MODs,

This is amazing idea but I just wish it gets active participation. He weekebd siscussion idea was great but people just backed off when it came to implementation.

Btw, how you are planning for the debate to happen? Like in a thread we pos replies?

Not exactly debate, but a discussion ... like I mentioned, we'll decide topic 3 days before sunday so you'll get 3 days to gather info about upcoming subject (like advantages, how it works, disadvantage, any new idea related to it , who invented it ... I mean everything)
My motive is to discuss about selected topic in very depth,so if any question by new CEans is asked regarding the topic discussed by us, we will get more answers & that too in detail w/o any other website copied contents.

Yeah that's cool ..
I have topics too...
- FOCs/FTTH technology
- Is bluetooth capable of replacing wifi (this covers two subject - bt & wifi)
- CMOS FETs .. what are they ?
- Gates ... what are they ?
- Chip designing .. how is it done .. paper work to manufacturing (this will lead to many more questions,which is good)

Why not just get started instead of waiting for the masses? Crowd will come when they see crowd 😉 . I'm in ! I'd press for more generic topics than branch specific ones. Once this gets regular, we can form groups to discuss engineering discipline specific topics. What say, folks?

Wow, a nice initiavtive. Kudos #-Link-Snipped-#.! 👍.! I have a pretty old but rather interesting topic. Applications of RFID in numerous real life problems which are yet to be implemented. We can come up with numerous Ideas actually.! Take this too if you think it's a nice one to play with.! 😀

I find #-Link-Snipped-# suggestion is very sensible we can have this tech discussion over weekend but anyway we need to kick things up for the next session we are losing time

Before we move to 2nd phase I would like to say something here.
First, I am very much disappointed because many regular CEans didn't even dropped one post during event.As far as I know, our topic wasn't very 'specific' technical.

Second, is it something like; "troll didn't tagged me, why should i participate in event" attitude?
Believe me, I didn't kept my name Troll_So_Hard because i like trolls .... truth is I am very troll-ish .... during event, i was trolling every online member & i saw many regular CEan did watched the post but hesitated in participating.

I'd suggest taking up generic topics. How about future of skyscrapers in developing countries like India?

TSH: if people have to be 'invited' before they contribute, then their contribution may not be worth much. A personal tragedy kept me busy and I could not spend continuous time on CE last two days.

How about "Nanotechnology in Electronics : The future?"
This is as well my thought for bijli bacho. We have debate section. This event should be kept totally technical. For now since we have some crowd for electronics, so be it for electronics. Later we will expand to other fields as well.

On the side note, as I also said in the conversation, if you are expecting more response for upcoming engineers then we must keep something closely related to academic topics. You see, most of the people don't know basic and simple things, let alone nanotechnology. Again it will be handful of people discussing if you just keep advance topics which is 'out of syllabus', unfortunately...😔

Singapore extensively recycles all water including sewage for drinking. There is a projected water famine by 2020 AD. The greater Bangalore corporation is considering an MOU with the Singapore agency for sewage water recycling.
Almost 80% of urban water goes down the flush.
Recycling sewage water for drinking:Technology and Pros & cons can be a discussion topic.

Hola CEans,
As we decided before 1st technical forum event that we'll be selecting topic for event within in 2 days(wednesday), sadly we aint meeting up our target.
Blame me (Its hard not to be reckless)

So, this time ... I mean for 3rd week Technical forum event we'll be deciding subject from now onwards 'till tuesday & on wednesday there will be poll & result will be announced of sameday at night.

We're not doing good at all !! Infact our 1st week performance was better except some new CEans participated today.
Our event are more "general Debate-able" than "Technically debate-able"
We have to work hard in selection of topic.
