Asus G75VW With 802.11ac Is World's First 5G Wi-Fi Gaming Laptop
ASUS is faster than any other laptop manufacturer in the world in embracing the latest & fastest 802.11ac wireless networking standard. The ASUS G75VW will be the world's first gaming laptop to feature the 802.11ac Wi-Fi module; announced Broadcom VP Michael Hurlston at Computex 2012 in Taiwan. Asus calls their laptop as the 'world's first 5G Wi-Fi laptop'. The 802.11ac initial technical specification draft was confirmed by IEEE 802.11 TGac and it's expected that it will become a global norm by 2015 with over 1 billion adoptions worldwide. The new standard is capable of delivering at least 1 Gigabit per second over multi-station WLAN.

The G75VW is expected to hit the markets very shortly.  Both Broadcom or Asus didn't let out any information about the pricing and exact release date of these products. Asus has already lined up more 802.11ac capable products including P8Z7-V series motherboard and RT-AC66U wireless router. Hurlston also mentioned that the companies will launch smartphones, tablets and other gadgets capable of new networking standard in 2013.
