The D.C series wound motor has the following characteristics:
1. It gives high torque and high speed.
2. speed and torque continue to rise as soon as the machine is started.
3. it cannot be started without a mechanical load else the coils will be damaged.
4. Speed and direction of rotation cannot be controlled.
Now is there a motor running on A.C power and having similar characteristics (or at least half of them).
my requirement at the moment is very high speed.
