A.C counterpart of the D.C series wound motor.

The D.C series wound motor has the following characteristics:

1. It gives high torque and high speed.

2. speed and torque continue to rise as soon as the machine is started.

3. it cannot be started without a mechanical load else the coils will be damaged.

4. Speed and direction of rotation cannot be controlled.

Now is there a motor running on A.C power and having similar characteristics (or at least half of them).

my requirement at the moment is very high speed.
