your opinion about joining IEEE

Im a third year Engineering student(Electrical and Electronics). I wish to join the IEEE. I want to know your opinions about it. Will it be useful to me because im interested in pursuing a research career. Will I be able to read the papers submitted by others or i'll get access only to the abstracts???...Kindly help me. Thanks in advance.😀
