Xolo Launches A1010 With Decent Battery And OTG Cable Support
Indian smartphone maker Xolo is known for wide variety of smartphones and tablets for consumers. The company has launched yet another device in this month and is called Xolo A1010. The smartphones is the latest addition to several others budget phones offered by Xolo. The phone has got decent specifications which we will overview soon. Xolo A1010 comes with the USB On The Go (OTG) cable support which means user can connect their pen drive via cable and enjoy its additional memory.
Specifications include a MediaTek 1GHz dual core processor that packs MTK 6572 chipset along with Mali 400 GPU clocked at 395MHz. The smartphone offers 512MB RAM, which may not be sufficient for several users expecting performance. Most of the recently launched budget smartphones that compete with A1010 feature 1GB RAM. Xolo A1010 comes with 4GB internal memory that can further be expanded up-to 32GB via microSD card slot. The phone comes with a 12.7cm (5 inch) IPS display with resolution of 480x854 pixels and 196 PPI. It runs Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS and there’s no word as of now if the device would get latest Lollipop update. The smartphone has dual-SIM support.
Xolo A1010 features a 5MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and a VGA front camera for selfie lovers. Primary camera records HD 720p video and offers functionalities like face recognition, Panorama mode, geo-tagging, smile shot, HDR mode etc. The smartphone can play 720p videos in several popular formats. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, USB v2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. the company is also providing a USB OTG cable free of cost with the device that would improve pen drive accessibility for consumers. The phone is powered by quite good 2500 mAh battery and is exclusively available on Home Shop 18 priced at Rs. 5,499.
We believe that the smartphone is a worthy competitor to its rivals and only if it has a better screen resolution and larger RAM, it would have really been able to top the charts right from its launch day.
