World's Smallest Camera From Hammacher Schlemmer

When was the last time you clicked a picture with your cell phone's 2MP camera? If you liked the image quality, why not get the world's smallest camera from Hammacher Schlemmer.

Hammacher Schlemmer introduced this 2MP camera which weighs only half an ounce and just about the size of a finger tip. Its dimensions are 1.125 inches by 1 inch by 1.063 inches. Being that small doesn't come cheap, it is priced at $99.95.

The camera can take still images & record videos just like other 2MP cameras. It takes images at 1600 x 1200 resolution and videos at 640 x 480 at around 30 fps (frames per second). It is shipped with a 2GB microSD card but it can support up to 32GB cards.

You can view the JPEG images and AVI videos directly from the camera on your computer running on Windows 7, XP or Vista through the bundled USB 2.0 cable. The smallest camera doesn't have such a great battery as it provides 30 minutes of operation time with an hour of charging via USB.

Its nearest competitor is the Chobi Mini Digital Camera which measures 1.7 inches by 1.1 inches by 0.47 inches. But the camera from Hammacher Schlemmer seems smaller due to its cubic shape. Comparing both the cameras, the Chobi Mini is better with higher resolution of still images and HD video recording capability.
