World’s biggest QLED Curved Gaming Monitor launched by Samsung in India for INR 1,50000

South Korean multinational conglomerate, Samsung has recently unveiled a 49-inch ultra-wide curved QLED monitor, CHG90-world’s biggest curved monitor for the Indian market. Priced at a whopping Rs. 1.5 lakhs, the gaming monitor sports DisplayHDR certification with a 3840 x 1080 pixels resolution. The bezel-less curved QLED monitor also features an aspect ratio of 32:9 with a curvature of 1800R.


Its High Dynamic Range (HDR) technology provides support for images with a wider range of luminance levels that render dark areas deeper and light areas brighter. The QLED further features new metal quantum-dot technology with a wide range and accuracy of color spectrum. To ensure a smooth gameplay the monitor comes with fast 144Hz screen refresh rate for flawlessly smooth action scenes in games with high frame rates. There is an option to adjust the refresh rate to 60Hz/120Hz when necessary.

An ‘Eye-saver mode’ minimizes blue light emissions and a Flicker Free technology reduces distracting screen flicker to enable users to view the screen for longer time with less eyestrain. Adding to the USP of the device, CHG90 happens to be Industry’s first monitor to be certified as DisplayHDR compliant by Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). The certification further validates the CHG90’s ability to provide the optimal gaming and entertainment viewing environment.

Samsung quoted that the monitor provides a 1ms motion picture response time (with low input lag) effectively preventing the ‘ghost’ images. The monitor also allows for multi-tasking with an Easy Setting Box to partition the screen or display multiple screens of different sizes in just a click. Other options as the 20-step Black Equalizer adjusts any game scene to the brightness level of users’ choice letting them effectively spot enemies hiding in even the darkest areas of the screen. Connectivity options include- 2 HDMI ports, DisplayPort, Mini DisplayPort, USB Hub, 3.5mm headphone jack, and 3.5mm audio in.

Samsung CHG90 is currently available for purchase in the country via Samsung's online store and would be available for the buy through retail stores too, soon.
