Whatsapp 2.8 For Windows Phones Now On Marketplace With Visible Changes

WhatsApp Messenger, the cross-platform app that is getting increasingly popular on Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, and Nokia phones, was missing on Windows Marketplace for some time now. But now it is back with version 2.8. To help you switch from SMS, WhatsApp uses 3G or WiFi for sending and receiving messages, pictures, audio or video files. Among the most apparent changes, we have a new toolbar with "Search" for contacts, "My Status" and "Create Group" options, losing of some emoticons and adding some new. (Much needed, eh?) and contact sharing is now possible from the attach tab.

Other changes are animated images for contacts and the configuration description can be changed to show the "Show message in the notification" instead of "Using push notifications for received messages". It is free to use for the first one year and users will have to pay $0.99 for every year after that. You can download the app #-Link-Snipped-#.
