Can Anyone explain me the working of a vapor absorption refrigeration machine? Here steam is to be used as a heat source for Chilling water.

    I think this diagram is self explanatory, except that here ammonia has been used as a refrigerant instead of steam.

    Steam is not the refrigerant, it is the heat source. water acts as the refrigerant.
