Twitter Embraces Privacy Policy; Adds 'Do Not Track' Feature












Users who do not wish to have their online life tracked, but still seek an online platform to rant their hearts out, may now heave a chirp of relief as Twitter confirmed its support for 'Do Not Track', a privacy policy strongly backed by the US Federal Trade Commission and Mozilla, among other privacy campaigners.

Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari- these browsers do include a 'Do Not Track' option that generates a line of codes notifying the websites that the user wishes his privacy. Under present regulations, it's unto the website to observe these wishes. Google affirmed that it shall soon put into effect the 'Do Not Track' feature in the Chrome browser. Twitter has always maintained to provide a more customized service. Except for the 'tailored suggestions', Twitter does not use a user's web history data for any other objective, stated the company.
