Track 6500 Indian Trains On Google Maps via RailRadar In Real Time

Indian Railways has launched an application called #-Link-Snipped-#, where rail commuters can easily track their train to see whether it's on-time or delayed. The app uses Google Maps for the same. The Indian rail network, one of the world's largest, runs about 10,000 trains on a daily basis, but the app includes just 6,500 trains at present.

All you have to do to track your train is, just hunt for its name or number and RailRadar will immediately place it for you. You may even enter the name of the station to find the train. The blue and red color indicate whether the trains are on-time, or running behind schedule. Clicking on the train lets you check it's route from the first station to the very last. One will need to wait for the smartphone version of this app though.
